With the FTS 600 and the FTS-HD.... bag closing machines Meypack offers equipment to close any open mouth paper sack.  
The FTS-HD.... closes paper sacks and seals the plastic inner liner with a hermetic heat seal.
Due to the double folding, an efficient heat seal protection is achieved. The FTS closure (Fold,Tape,Seal) is state of the art in modern sack closing and meets todays user requirements. The optional tear strip or "strippable sack" versions allow end user an environmentally friendly packaging. The FTS-closure can be opened without any tools or damage of the sack. Therefor contamination of the contents with shreds of paper is impossible and the sack can be reclosed as well (option) Strippable sacks permit grading of the disposable sack material without any effort.


New is the Meypack FTS 600 - RC bag closing machine, witch provides a reclosure of the bag after partial emptying the sack. By producing a FTS 600 machine in a special RC (= re-closable) execution it is made possible to close the sack according to the well known FTS method, and integrate a hook and loop strip into the fold at the same time. This is applicable wherever it is convenient or necessary to reclose- in a safe manner- opened sacks (e.g. bakery premixes, pet food, herbicides etc.

 
 
 

Method of operation:

The FTS sack closing machines operate in a continuous manner. Heavy duty carrier chains keep the flattened sack top perfectly alligned whilst it passes through the different steps of operation. At the same time the sack is supported by a conveyor (additional equipment).
The sack top is first trimmed parallel to the folding line which allows the closure of the sack as near as possible to the filling level. In the machines of the FTS-HD type the following operation takes place, first the heat sealing of the plastic inner liner or coating. Next, all FTS machines crease and fold over the sack top twice. Finally a coated paper tape is sealed to the folded sack top. As an option the machine may apply a tear strip to the tape to enable easy opening of the sack.

On the strippable sack version the machine length is increased by 260 mm.

Sacks with a width of 280 to 650 mm can be closed on the standard machine. In a special execution (FTS-B) sacks with a width of 160 mm to a width of 600 mm can be closed.
